Gotta Find A Way

Gotta Find A Way

(Music & Lyrics © Ronald D. Crowder, Jim Casey, Frank Hames)
ASCAP

I wrote this with my friend Jim Casey and his friend, Frank Hames. I have yet to meet Frank in person or even communicate with him. He had sent a keyboard riff to Jim. Jim brought it to me and we both agreed we should play around with it. We played around with it for about an hour and came up with this song. We created a rough demo and I continued to play around with it for a long time, moving things here and there, rewriting lyrics, adding a bridge. After quite a few revisions and lots of time in the recording studio working on the production and the arrangement, I molded it into what is now on the recording.

Listen to song

Gotta find a way
(Gotta find a way)
To make this a better place

Have a little faith
(Have a little faith)
I know we can get there

Make a better space
for the human race
Care for each other

Gotta find a way
(Gotta find a way)
Where no one hurts or suffers

Brothers and sisters
We’ve got to have a plan
Time’s a wastin’
Got to be a better man

Gotta stop the fightin’
Hatin’ on each other
Respect your sisters
And think about your mother

Gotta find a way
(Gotta find a way)
To make this a better place

Have a little faith
(Have a little faith)
I know we can get there

Make a better space
for the human race
Care for each other

Gotta find a way
(Gotta find a way)
Where no one hurts or suffers

Kids are the future
They deserve a lovely world
Spread Joy and Love
To all the boys and girls

Keep dreams alive
Live life without fear
If we all start giving
We’ll be cryin’ happy tears

Gotta find a way
(Gotta find a way)
To make this a better place

Have a little faith
(Have a little faith)
I know we can get there

Make a better space
for the human race
Care for each other

Gotta find a way
(Gotta find a way)
Where no one hurts or suffers
